Honnō-ji
A downloadable The temple
Inspired by A Shift In The Wind.
Oda Nobunaga
The most celebrated Samurai warrior in Japan because he propagated unification among Japanese people. He led Kyoto at the time and gained power by killing Yoshimoto Imagawa in 1560. Oda Nobunaga was a striking warrior who deemed honor to be essential. His death was from an act of betrayal by one of his own generals, Akechi Mitsuhide, who set fire to the temple he was resting at. However, Nobunaga committed suicide, considered a more honorable way to die.
The Honnō-ji temple is still standing and they actually have Nobunaga's armor and weapons displayed in it. In this environment I wanted to portray, peace after the storm inspired by this story.
